This database contains currently registered violent and sex offenders with felony conviction records. The data has been compiled from violent and sex offender registries in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Further investigation via statewide criminal records or county level research is necessary. All information prior to December of 2003 is contained in the Archived Corrections database. This database contains current and historical felony and misdemeanor information on individuals that are or have been incarcerated under the jurisdiction of the Connecticut Department of Corrections. The jurisdiction provides monthly updates of the most current data available. NOTE: per the jurisdiction: It is extremely important to note that a person's current incarceration does not necessarily indicate they have been convicted of a crime, as Connecticut's correctional system also holds those who are awaiting trial. While this database currently contains some misdemeanor information (on convicted felons only), the State of Georgia is in the process of purging misdemeanor data from their files.
